revitalizing artistic tradition

I trust my eyes to show me the next step. I trust the movies I’ve seen and the books I’ve read. I trust that there’s a place for me in the history of art and culture. While I search for that place, I ponder the movies I’ve seen and the books I’ve read and the dreams that I have. I find a way to recycle those dreams into tangible influence — even if it’s just within my immediate circle. It’s a loop I can’t seem to find my way out of, nor fall out of love with. I look at the way words POP and jump and jolt; I listen to the sound of color.
In recent years, I’ve noticed that media is starting to look and sound one way, and it bothers me. Attention for the sake of it? I think we can do better, if we demand experiences that do more than tick our boxes. Settling for anything less would be participant in the death of our very senses, and by extension, art.

Quinn Jackson is an American filmmaker, voice actor, and sequential artist. He’s been illustrating since the age of five and has been active in freelance and contract filmmaking over the last decade, specializing in Narrative and Commercial. Quinn speaks English and Japanese and held his first copyright at the age of sixteen.

He is currently writing his first feature-length screenplay.
